What we do

Research

Biodiversity studies

Surveys and monitoring of flora and fauna, from reef flats to forests, as the basis for programme planning.

Restoration

Restoring ecosystem function

Restoring the functioning of coastal and terrestrial ecosystems, assessed at landscape scale through hydrology, vegetation cover, species composition and habitat connectivity, not seedling counts.

Ecological Literacy

Ocean and ecological literacy

For students, teachers, practitioners and families: Mangrove Sister School, ocean literacy workshops and eco-guide training.

Co-management

Local institutions

Facilitating local institutions that manage the area: the Lembung Paseser village regulation on coastal and marine management (2019), the Kalam Mangrove tourism group (Pokdarwis), and Pokmaswas Tanjung Widoro.
