About Agrie Conservation

Agrie Conservation was founded in Gresik in 2018, initiated by two field researchers: Agus Satriyono, M.Si. and Citra Fitrie Riany, M.Sc. We encourage rethinking how we understand and respond to environmental change.

Our approach

Ecology-based

Field studies and ecological monitoring as the scientific basis for interventions.

Nature-based Solutions

Designing solutions that use ecosystem functions and fit site characteristics, such as oyster reef structures (POSH) in the intertidal zone.

Social-Ecological Systems

Analysing people and ecosystems as a coupled social-ecological system, including local institutions and collective action.
